A Mitsubishi excavator has been unveiled in Japan under the Shin Caterpillar Mitsubishi brand label. In Japan, the Mitsubishi brand marketed mini excavators, less than six tons and the Caterpillar Cat brand took on the larger excavators. The new Mitsubishi mini excavator features a compact radius, which means the cab and engine unit have a diameter smaller than the width and length of the crawler unit beneath.
